Context
The club decided when to launch by reading a printed tide table and doing the arithmetic in their heads. Mistakes meant dragging boats over mud.
The chart
A week of tides as one continuous curve, with the club's safe launch window shaded on top. Hovering — or tapping on a phone — shows the exact height and time. The whole thing is a single SVG generated at build time from public tide predictions, so it loads instantly at the slipway on one bar of signal.

The chart is now the first thing on the club's home page, and the launch window is the number members quote to each other.
